Elisha E. Weiner is an Associate at Hobart Linzer. The firm’s practice focuses on commercial, business, entertainment and real estate litigation. Ms. Weiner was featured on the cover of the April 2012 issue of Los Angeles Lawyer Magazine in which her article Price and Privilege, on the relationship between the attorney-client privilege and commercial litigation financing. Ms. Weiner recently co-authored an article in the California Daily Journal on commercial litigation financing. She was the co-presenter of an internationally attended webinar “Alternative Litigation Financing: Tales from the Trenches,” hosted by Infocast.
Ms. Weiner is admitted to practice in California. She is an active member of the State Bar of California Litigation Section, Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Beverly Hills Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. She is currently serving as a Vice Chair on the ABA Young Lawyers Division Business Law Committee.
Ms. Weiner received her J.D. degree from UCLA School of Law in 2010, where she was an Articles Editor of the UCLA Entertainment Law Review, and a Staff Member of the UCLA Journal of International Law & Foreign Affairs. Ms. Weiner was also a Board Member of the Public Interest Law Fund Auction and Captain of the UCLA Water Ski & Wakeboard Team.
During law school, Ms. Weiner spent a fall semester as a Judicial Extern for The Honorable Dean Pregerson, U.S. District Court for the Central District, Los Angeles, CA, and a prior summer as a Judicial Extern for The Honorable Arthur Alarcón, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, Los Angeles, CA.
Ms. Weiner received her Masters in Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, IL in 2007. Ms. Weiner received her B.M., summa cum laude in 2005 from University of Florida at New World School of the Arts College Conservatory, Miami, FL.
