Abigail Caplovitz Field is a writer and attorney. She has authored and co-authored academic publications on policing, racial profiling and disorderly conduct statute text; public policy reports on prescription drug marketing, toxic pollution, infrastructure privatization, and tax policy; and a few hundred news articles primarily on banking, mortgage and foreclosure fraud for outlets including AOL and Fortune.com. After graduating from NYU Law with honors in 2001, Abigail practiced for three years as an associate with Chadbourne & Parke LLP, followed by three years as the Legislative Advocate for the New Jersey Public Interest Research Group. She currently maintains a part-time general practice in eastern Long Island, NY where she lives with her husband and young children.
